During an interview prior to his New Orleans Jazz Fest set, Keith Urban took a moment to lay a kiss on a Louisiana teacher. But it's safe to say wife Nicole Kidman will have no objections to this smooch.

The kiss came prior to Urban's rain-shortened set. Billboard reports that the singer performed impromptu versions of “Somebody Like You” and “Raise ‘Em Up” before the Q&A portion of the show. Students at the teacher’s school got a pizza party if she could score a kiss.

“Party on kids!” Urban says after laying one on her cheek.

Several hours later Urban took the stage, but only got through 11 songs before rain and looming storms shut him down. Highlights from that set included “You Gonna Fly” (lyrics include: “You could be a songbird from New Orleans / Scared of the rain just as scared to sing”) and a cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Have You Ever Seen the Rain?” with no accompaniment. The superstar made several references to the rain during songs like “Making Memories of Us.”

Urban embraces country music festivals and the fans that will sit through anything for their favorite artist. He recently told Taste of Country that was a big part of his childhood, as he'd compete in different festivals across Australia as kid.

"It's a part of my whole raising really," he says. Look for the singer to headline the Taste of Country Music Festival and Country Jam Colorado this June. Tim McGraw and Toby Keith will also headline both festivals.
