Kane Brown's "Weekend" finally dropped late on Tuesday night (Aug. 7), and it's the perfect jam to carry fans through to the actual weekend.

The song grooves to more of an R&B-styled vibe than country, but we're all used to Brown's skilled ability to hop about between and skillfully mix genres by now. The smoothly executed tune follows his No. 1 hit "Heaven" and follow-up single "Lose It" as he preps to release his eagerly anticipated sophomore album on Nov. 9.

Fans responded enthusiastically — to say the least — using such glowing terms as "phenomenal," "amazing," "dope" and "a banger" (plus a whole ton of fire emojis) to get their opinions across.

Brown released his self-titled debut album in 2016 on RCA Nashville, following his successful endeavors covering iconic country songs on YouTube. His lead single, "What Ifs," which featured Lauren Alaina, hit No. 1, which paved the way for Brown to set a record by becoming the first artist to sit in the top spot on five charts at the same time.

He achieved this when Kane Brown was ruling the Top Country Albums chart and "What Ifs" performed similarly on the Country Digital Song Sales, Country Airplay, Hot Country Songs and Country Streaming Songs charts in 2017.
