I'm geeking out a little bit today because Kacey Mustgrave retweeted me yesterday. I might of fan girled and asked her if we can be best friends. Oops. It's the little things in life, right? Anyhow, she'll be a special guest this weekend at Bethel Woods along with Willie Nelson and Allison Krauss and Union Station. Let's get to know Ms. Musgraves a little better, shall we?

  1. You're probably familiar with her first couple singles, 'Merry Go Round,' 'Follow Your Arrow' and 'Blowin Smoke.' Make sure you keep an ear out for her new single 'Keep it to Yourself' (which happens to be a personal favorite of mine).

2. She'll be on CMT Cross Roads with Katy Perry on June 13th. Kacey will also be doing a few tour stops with Katy this summer.

3. Musically, Kacey learned how to play the mandolin at the age of 12 and started writing songs when she was 9 (Between the ages of 9 and 12 I was obsessed with the N'sync and the Spice Girls, so I'd say that's pretty impressive).

4. In 2013 she toured with acts such as Kenny Chesney, Little Big Town and Lady Antebellum on their European tour.

5. She's been compared to legends like Loretta Lynn and Dolly Parton and she won two Grammy's in 2013 for Country Album of The Year for Same Trailer Different Park  and for Country Song of The Year with 'Merry Go Round.'

Kacey will be at Bethel Woods this Sunday, June 8th. Are you going to the show? If you're new to her music make sure you catch her set!
