Jimmy Dean has recalled over 29,000 pounds of sausage for fears that there is metal present.

NBC News reports that Jimmy Dean has recalled more than 29,000 pounds of sausage. The product recalled was frozen, ready-to-eat pork and poultry sausage links. The recall was prompted by multiple consumer complaints about there being metal in the sausage.

There were a total of 5 complaints from consumers. They each reported metal in the sausage. Thankfully, no one was injured, according to NBC News. It is not yet made public which states sold the contaminated product.

The specific product recalled was 3.4-ounce pouches of “Jimmy Dean HEAT ’n SERVE Original SAUSAGE LINKS Made with Pork & Turkey” with a use by date of Jan. 31, 19. according to NBC News. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) says that anyone with the product should not consume it and throw it out, or return it to where they purchased it.
