I'm a new woman. I have overcome some big fears and it was totally worth it.

I finally had a chance to get out to Catamount Aerial Adventure Park with some listeners for Spend a Day. This spend a day was a little different than our usual outings. Since Catamount is a self-guided tour, you have the opportunity to tour the park by yourself with your friends.

After a thorough training session with Tom, we headed down to the ropes course.

I met a few of our listeners out on the course (Hi Debbie and Justin!), and they were doing much better than I was. They explored the green and blue courses which were a little harder than the yellow course that I followed.

The picture above is from Justin, as I made my way up to the main zipline platform.

Don't get me wrong--the yellow courses were easy, but I was still working up quite the sweat going from tree to tree.

Once we finished up a few courses, we decided it was time to zipline. One of the instructors told us that it might be a little overwhelming at first because you're not surrounded by other people and trees. Just you and Catamount Mountain.

He wasn't lying. It was overwhelming, yet exhilarating to the point where I was mid-zipline I got a cramp in my leg. Like I said, totally worth it.

Once you get the hang of climbing and letting yourself overcome the fact that you're up zipping tree to tree you can enjoy gorgeous views and take in the great outdoors.

Catamount Aerial Adventure Park is opened for a few more weekends before they close down for summer. They're open weekends through Sunday, Oct. 28.
