I finally did it. I went to the movies this afternoon to see the movie "IT."

Last week CJ and I had a long discussion, along with some helpful listeners, about the new movie "IT." Of course "IT" isn't really a new movie, it's a remake of the Stephen King book turned 1980s horror film.

We were trying to decided whether it's worth seeing if we haven't read the book or watched the original. A lot of folks told us to just check it, because over all it was a decent movie.

I decided to bit the bullet and check out "IT" today after we went off the air. I'm not saying I was scared, but I didn't want to see the film at night.

This might just be me, maybe because I'm not really afraid of clowns, but I didn't think Pennywise was that scary. With that being said, there were times where I jumped and couldn't look at the screen.

For me the scariest part was how Pennywise dug into the kids fears. I think if Chapter 2 is from an adults view point with Pennywise, it will be much scarier.

If I had to compare it to anything it was a more intense, violent version of The Goonies or Stranger Things.

To wrap up this amateur movie review I'll say this, if you're scared of clowns...stay away. But if you're looking for something to keep you up at night and checking over your shoulder every now and then, head to the theaters as soon as you can.

Also, big thumbs up to all the kids in the film. They nailed it.
