Infamous Poughkeepsie Serial Killer Dies In Prison

Over a 2 year period, from 1996-1998 women mysteriously began disappearing in Poughkeepsie. It was later discovered that a man by the name of Kendal Francois had been killing and burying them in his basement. In August of 2000, he plead guilty to 8 counts of first and second degree murder and sentenced to life without parole. The Poughkeepsie Journal reports that Francois has died in prison. He was just 43 years old. Francois was HIV positive but reports state he has died of natural causes.
