Snow and a wintry mix are expected for Wednesday, February 20, 2019.

According to Weather.com, we will be getting snow on Wednesday, February 20. There is already a winter weather advisory in effect for the entire Hudson Valley from noon on Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday. A winter weather advisory means poor travel conditions and visibility at times caused by snow, sleet, and ice.

Thankfully, it's not expected to amount to anything major during the day, as they are predicting less than one inch and only a 60% chance of precipitation. Temperatures will hit a high of 31 degrees.

However, Wednesday night is when things get tricky. According to Weather.com, we will get a wintry mix in the Hudson Valley Wednesday night. Conditions will change from snow to snow/ice/sleet. Roughly two inches of ice and snow are expected, and a 90% chance of precipitation. Temperatures are expected to drop to 27 degrees Wednesday night.

Hudson Valley Weather reports that one to three inches of snow is expected and up to one-tenth of an inch of ice is expected. While their official forecast isn't out yet, they did say that the winter weather advisory is in line with their predictions.
