A Hudson Valley woman is accused of driving drunk with a young child in her car.

On Tuesday afternoon, Saugerties police conducted a vehicle and traffic stop on 9W in the Town of Saugerties after receiving complaints from residents about an erratic driver. The car was also allegedly observed crossing a double yellow line by authorities.

An investigation determined that 32-year-old Narritah J. Lomax was allegedly driving erratically while under the influence of alcohol.

A 4-year-old child was in the car with Lomax as she drove drunk, authorities say.

Lomax was charged with driving while intoxicated under Leandra’s Law, a felony, and driving while in intoxicated, a misdemeanor. She also received violations for crossing a double yellow and operating out of class.

Lomax was processed at Saugerties Police headquarters and arraigned in the Town of Saugerties Court. She was remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail.
