Mother Nature isn’t finished with this weekend’s storm as parts of the Hudson Valley are under a winter weather advisory.

A winter weather advisory is in effect until 7 p.m. Monday for western Ulster and eastern Dutchess counties, according to National Weather Service (NWS) Albany.

Periods of snow and blowing snow will likely make for difficult travel, covered roads and limited visibility. Motorists are urged to use caution.

About an inch of snow is expected in parts of Ulster and Dutchess counties. Upper Dutchess may see one to three inches of snow with storm totals of four to eight inches.

A wind advisory is effect for all of the Hudson Valley until 6 p.m. Winds will blow 15 to 25 miles per hour with gusts up to 50 MPH. The Nation Weather Service says the winds could be capable of downing small tree limbs and branches, which could cause isolated power outages.

Some local schools were closed Monday. Our storm center has a complete list of closings and delays.
