A Hudson Valley teenager who worked as a camp counselor was charged for sexual exploiting a minor.

In Southern District of New York Court, Michael Bryant Marin, 18, of Port Chester was accused of communicating with an underage victim online and convincing her to take and send sexually explicit photographs and videos to him online.

According to the complaint unsealed in White Plains Court, around March 2016, Marin began communicating online via KIK and through texts with a 13-year-old female from New Mexico. He allegedly convinced the victim to take and send sexually explicit photographs and videos of herself to Marin.

Marin is also accused as posing as a minor and threatening the victim that if she didn’t send additional photos and/or videos, he would publicly post the photos and/or videos she had already sent on social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Marin also allegedly demanded that victim to act as his “slave.” As part of this demand he told her to film herself engaging in a number of sexually explicit acts, including bestiality with a pet cat and taking nude photos of herself in her school bathroom.

Officials say Marin is currently employed as a camp counselor in Greenwich, Connecticut.

He was charged with one count of sexual exploitation of a minor, which carries a minimum sentence of 15 years in prison and a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison.

There may be more victims of this alleged conduct. If you have information to report, contact the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s White Plains Resident Agency at 914-989-6000.
