Police are hoping for help as they search for a missing Hudson Valley man who’s described as having a history of addiction.

Frederick S. Conklin, 56, of Ellenville was last seen on Saturday leaving on foot from a home on Spring Street in Ellenville.

Conklin is described as a 5’7” 155 pound white male with brown hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo on one of his wrists. Police did not clarify which wrist or what the tattoo looks like.

He was last seen wearing jeans with paint on them, a yellow sweatshirt, and Michael Jordan branded sneakers.

Conklin may be in danger and has a history of opiate addiction, officials say. He hasn’t contacted his daughter or family in three days and failed to pick up his medication at a local pharmacy.

Anyone who has seen Conklin or has information about his potential whereabouts is asked to call Ellenville Police at (845) 647-4422.
