Hudson Valley Based HGTV Show Gets New Premier Date

The Hudson Valley is getting the spotlight once again, this time it's on everyone's favorite home improvement channel.

Hudson Valley Has 'Small Town Potential'

Our neck of the woods is the star of an upcoming television project on HGTV. You may remember a few months ago, news broke of a new HGTV Show being filmed in our area.

Small Town Potential stars 2 Hudson Valley natives Davina Thomasula, and her life partner and contractor, Kristin Leitheuser who will help families settle down in the perfect Upstate New York home.

The press released explains:

In each episode, Davina will devise a timeless design plan complemented by the area's natural surroundings that Kristin will bring to life with the help of her dad and building partner, Don.

Small Town Potential Gets New Premier Date

In 2023 we heard rumblings that the Hudson Valley based HGTV show would air in June. But the air date was then pushed back. We have received word that the first episode of Small Town Potential will air on March 3rd at 9 pm EST.

A press release breaks down what we can expect in the first episode:

In the premiere episode, Davina and Kristin will help a couple find and renovate an 1800s-era farmhouse with lots of acreage for their daughter to explore in Marlboro, New York. Later, they head over to a neighboring art community, Kingston, to transform a drab attic into a serene artist studio

Hey MTV, Welcome to my Crib

Speaking of home improvement shows, remember MTV Cribs? Apparently, it's still around and airing on Apple TV and Paramount+. Back in March of 2023 a Dutchess County home was featured on the show.

Actor Nico Tortorella (from Younger, How Far is Tattoo Far, City on Fire) previously lived in the house and gave MTV Cribs the grand tour. Take a peek inside below:
