Date Night, a term used by many of us to describe an evening spent with our significant other that takse us back in time to when we weren't so bogged down by daily life. It is a an evening set aside to rekindle the relationship and take you back to the good old days of when you were dating. The cool thing about date night is it can come without the stress of actual dating if you make a plan but keep it simple. And of course don't end up like "The Fosters" in the 2010 movie of the same name.

So what makes a good Fall date night in the Hudson Valley?

Catch a show. Great places include Eisenhower Hall at West Point, The Bardovan in Poughkeepsie or UPAC in Kingston.

Do dinner. The Hudson Valley has amazing choices for dinning out. The Would in Highland, The Mohonk House in New Paltz or the Beekman Arms in Rhinebeck just to name a few.

Day time dates could include orchards and wineries.

Late afternoon ideas could be a stroll before dinner. The Walkway Over the Hudson is great for that so are many of the little town throughout the valley. Places that come to mind are Cold Spring, Beacon, New Paltz, Woodstock, Rhinebeck, Saugerties even the Rondout in Kingston.
