A local city has been named the "most ghetto" in all of New York. They've had a tough couple of weeks as they were recently named one of the most redneck in the state too.

Roadsnacks.net has dubbed Monticello with the dubious honor based on several factors. Towns with a population of under 2,000 were not considered, while income and education levels were taken into consideration. More than 500 cities were analyzed.

These results are listed in a per capita basis. Meaning number of stores per person in a state. Additionally, high school graduation rates are determined by looking at the total number of people who live in a city, not the current graduation rate of an area’s high schools.

Here's the top five most ghetto cities in New York. For the full top ten, link up with Roadsnacks.net. Monticello was chosen as number one mainly because 25% of the population is undereducated and the average median income is the lowest in the state.
