Hudson Valley Car Dealer’s Heartwarming Gift to Grieving Family
A local car dealership's act of compassion has busted the stereotype of the sleazy salesman.
Most people view car salesmen as ruthless negotiators, stopping at nothing to get you to sign on the dotted line. Well, it may be time to rethink that description, especially at one local Hudson Valley car dealership.
A review left on the Facebook page of DCH Wappingers Falls Toyota shows a very different side to the stereotypical car salesman. Cara Weber recently visited the dealership to sell back her father's truck after he unexpectedly passed away. According to Weber, the dealer took the truck for a test drive and came back with a price for what they would pay to buy back the truck. The family was told that they would still have to pay the balance of the loan that was due. This was expected, as all new vehicles decrease in value after becoming a used car.
Then the unexpected happened. Weber says the manager approached her, her sister and her mother, explaining that he had just learned the reason why the family was selling back the truck. The manager went on to tell them that the dealership would pay back the entire loan and the family would no longer be responsible for any payments.
Weber was so grateful that she posted her heartfelt review on the car dealership's Facebook page. The review said, "At such a hard time in our lives, you have made this process easy for us and for that I cannot thank you enough."
I think that qualifies as a five-star review.
