Over the weekend the movie Bohemian Rhapsody, which is based on the rock group Queen, was released and took over the box office.

Bohemian Rhapsody made an estimated $50 million in ticket sales in North America and $141.7 million globally. The film has a Hudson Valley connection. Actor Joe Mazzello, who was born in Rhinebeck and grew up in Hyde Park plays a big part in the film as Queen bass player John Deacon.

The film has had people buzzing since the trailer was released and now the cast is making their rounds for a publicity tour.

Mazzello recently stopped by to visit the ladies at ABC's, The View. While he was there he and Meghan McCain shared the story of their friendship and how both of their fathers suffered from the same form of cancer.

Meghan's father, Senator John McCain and Joe's father, also named Joe, suffered from glioblastoma brain cancer.

McCain died in August 2018.

The two bonded over how they struggled with their fathers illnesses. Mazzello advice for others who are going through the same fight is "“Don’t take a day for granted. Just keep caring for them and make every moment last.”  Take a look at the interview below:
