Last week I asked if you Instant Pot. At first, the sentence doesn't seem correct, but trust me when I say that while Instant Pot is a noun, it is quickly crossing over to the verb category because of all this little machine lets you do.

I purchased mine a year ago and after having it a few weeks, I wondered how I'd ever cooked without it. This summer, during those hot and humid days when the last thing you want to do is turn on the stove, we still had pulled pork, cooked chicken with roasted potatoes, meatballs and more in the Instant Pot without adding any heat and humidity to our home.

I bought one for our daughter and son-in-law, with 2 little boys and both working full-time, it has helped her get food on the table quicker. She had never owned a pressure cooker and wasn't too sure at first, but she is off and running now.

I know that the idea of using a pressure cooker can be intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be. While I am certainly no Instant Pot expert, I can show you a few tips and tricks that can get you started, this week, let's talk about ways it can help you speed up your food prep.

I should also say that I am not an Instant Pot expert nor am I a paid spokesperson. This has totally changed how I cook and I love it. So, I hope you'll join me here each week as I'll go over the different features and show you how easy it is to cook some basic items like eggs and potatoes, just to get you started!
