Ever been stuck somewhere that you needed to be rescued from?

I saw a story the other day about a bunch of people that were stuck on a gondola at an amusement park in San Diego and according to NBC San Diego it took rescue crews some five hours to rescue everyone.

A lot of people's worst nightmare took place at SeaWorld San Diego back on Monday. They say that sixteen people were stranded in five separate gondolas on the Bayside Skyride when according to authorities, "a big gust of wind tripped a circuit breaker that stunted the ride."

Rescue crews worked for 5 hours and did get everyone down safely including an infant child, where they had to use a special harness to lower the child down to safety.

Some of the rescue was caught on video:

Once the rescue was complete there were no injuries reported and SeaWorld said that the ride malfunction is under investigation.

Anything like this every happen to you or anyone you know?

I remember back like 20 years ago, I got stuck on a ski lift at Ski Windham for about two hours while they tried to repair the ski lift. When it happened, the first responders brought us blankets and hot drinks while repair crews worked on fixing the lift and after 2 hours they got it working again and we all rode down to safety.
