Thank you to Jennifer for sending this my way...I'm amazed at how true this stuff is. The Huffington post did probably the best comparisons of then and now.

I can remember after running around our neighborhood in the 70's and getting as much candy as humanly possible and just stuffing my bag until there was no more room. After I couldn't fit anymore we would run home and dump our bags out on the floor and my mom would take out the apples (remember the razor blade thing) and let us just dive in, And within 15 minutes I always was being chased around with the wooden spoon. CALM DOWN! YOU LITTLE....Get over here!!! LOL She could never catch me.

Now today and YES my house is like this...The kids get home from trick or treating and we tell them to place the candy on the kitchen table and my wife and I go thru it, throwing out anything that looks shady. We then let them each pick one or two pieces to eat. After they pick what they want, my wife sits with them and gets out her point system....Yes we have a point system for the candy. We give candy like a snickers 5 points..sweet tarts 1 point and so on...After we tally up all the points each of my kids get money for the points. YES MONEY FOR CANDY!!! And then we donate the candy to my wife's school. (Or to my stomach).

Check out the Huffington Posts comparisons here. And Happy Halloween!!
