Great Hudson Valley Places to See Outdoor Shows

The best way to enjoy a concert is under the stars. We are lucky that we have so many great outdoor venues in the Hudson Valley. There is Bethel Woods, SPAC and of course Hunter Mountain Home of Taste Of Country Music Festival. Plus Trophy Point at West Point and Xfinity Theatre in Hartford.

What is it about a show outdoors? It is like the music fills the sky. One of the best shows that I have ever saw was Celtic Women at Bethel Woods. Maybe it was their earthy harmony but when the kettle drums and the thunder from the approaching storm sync up with a gust of wind during the encore you would have thought it was part of the show.

You never know what will happen when you head out to an outdoor show. It makes going to a concert an adventure. Will you need sun screen? Do you bring a blanket or a bag chair? It is all part of the experience. Check out the outdoor show line-ups below.
