Golden Corral set to open in Dutchess County on Dec. 31.

We will all have a brand new dinner option by the end of 2016 as Golden Corral's Poughkeepsie location is set to open its doors on Saturday, Dec. 31.

According to the Poughkeepsie Journal, the buffet style restaurant will finally host its grand opening on New Year's Eve. The restaurant was scheduled to open in September and then again in November but faced delays because of missing supplies.

Franchisee owner Sherrance Henderson told the Journal, "There were still some supplies we needed which were on back order, it's a situation I just did not have any control over."

Henderson also said that Golden Corral will host an invite only opening for Town of Poughkeepsie officials and people who helped with the restaurant's opening on Dec. 30. The soft opening will also act as a test run to make sure that everything is in working order.

The restaurant is located at 2345 South Road and will bring about 125 jobs to the area and is still hiring butchers and grillers. If you are interested in applying you can call the restaurant at 845-544-8560.
