I may have been one of the last people to see 'Frozen', I saw it for the first time last fall, but I am a huge fan. In fact, I just watched it again last week. This should tell you how excited I am about this announcement. After earning over a billion dollars worldwide, inspiring a short film 'Frozen Fever', plus launching the 'Frozen on Ice' tour, this family-favorite film is headed to Broadway.

While everyone automatically wonders who will play Anna and Elsa, roles originally done by Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel, first things first, there's music, choreography, costumes, and the book itself to get ready. According to EOnline, it will be produced by the Disney Theatrical Group, no surprise there, with other key positions such as Director, Music Supervisor, Lighting Design, Scenic and Costume, and Choreographer announced earlier today.

The talk is that there are a dozen or so new songs with this production and, while no dates have yet been announced, industry insiders say it will go up Off-Brodway sometime next year and could make it's Broadway debut in early 2018. If all of this exciting news makes you want to see the film again, you're in luck because 'Frozen' will make it's debut on the Disney Channel this Sunday night at 8 pm.

Who else is with me if we get a bus trip together to see it when it comes to Broadway? Let me know in the comments below.
