Favorite Local Orchard to Host Friendsgiving this Friday

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. The food, fun and family always leave you feeling warm inside when it's cold outside. Plus it is a great warmer up for Christmas. When family can't be close it is always nice to share a holiday like Thanksgiving with friends. Back before Thanksgiving had it's spin-off name "Friendsgiving" my friends and I use to gather together to celebrate with turkey and pie and spirits. Now it is a commonplace thing to have a Friendsgiving and a Thanksgiving and I think that is pretty cool.

If your not sure what Friendsgiving is a quick definition is a meal with friends usually the weekend before Thanksgiving. All the typical Thanksgiving favorites can be served or not. It is real about have a chance to celebrate and give thanks with your friends because most of us end up heading to see family on Thanksgiving therefore missing an opportunity to share a meal with everyone we are thankful to have in our lives.

So now that we have cleared that up for those of you who may not have celebrated Friendsgiving, I want to tell you about a cool place you can have Friendsgiving so no one has to cook or clean. Angry Orchard in Walden is having a friendsgiving dinner this Friday November 16th and you still have time to book you and your friends.

The price person is just $30 for a the Angry Orchard Second Annual Friendsgiving Mixer. Held at the Angry Orchard Innovation Cider House this is a great way to kick off the holiday season with friends. Enjoy small plate appetizers presented by Chef Shawn Hubbell of Amuzae Catering paired with small batch New York Cider exclusive to the Cider House. Enjoy the finest local ingredients with a cocktail hour starting at 6pm at the cider house. There will be a welcome drink and passed h'orderves followed by small plates and a flight of cider to pair with your food. Live music, expertly crafted food and amazing cider make this a perfect friendsgiving celebration. Seating is limited! No substitutions.
