Additional Information

Parents and caregivers are invited to explore MHCM and learn about our new Sensory Hours program, which debuts next month on April 9.

Tours of exhibit galleries will be provided and representatives from MHCM and the Anderson Center for Autism will be on hand to answer general questions, share information about Sensory Hours, and gather your feedback.

Sensory Hours have been designed to allow families with young children with sensory integration challenges to explore MHCM and its exhibits in a modified environment with reduced sound, designated quiet spaces, extra visual signage and sensory aids.

This open house event is FREE and open to parents and caregivers of young children with autism. Children are also welcome to attend, but please keep in mind that this event may be crowded.

Starting on Sunday, April 9, Sensory Hours will be held on the second Sunday of each month from 9:00 am – 11:00 am. Preregistration and advanced tickets are required, as space will be limited. Please note: Sensory Hours are for young children ages 0-8 as MHCM gallery spaces and exhibits are designed for little kid bodies.

Sensory Hours are presented in partnership with the Anderson Center for Autism and the Dutchess County “ThinkDIFFERENTLY” Initiative. Sensory Hours are made possible with support from Stewart’s Shops.
