The Hudson Valley News Network is reporting that the New York State Police have arrested 31-year-old Randy G. Bowen, Jr., from Lagrange, on charges, two counts of criminal mischief 4th Degree, and endangering the welfare of a child.

According to the report, troopers were dispatched on Wednesday to Saint Joseph’s Church in Millbrook to investigate a reported burglary.  A short while later, police were called to check on an unattended child in a vehicle parked by the Grace Episcopal Church in the Village of Millbrook. After an investigation, police stated it was discovered that Bowen had left the 2-year-old child alone in the vehicle as he attempted to break into Grace Church, as reported by the Hudson Valley News Network.

Bowen was arraigned before the Town of Pleasant Valley Justice Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond, according to the Hudson Valley News Network. In addition, pursuant to this investigation it was discovered that Bowen was responsible for another burglary at Saint Kateri Church in LaGrange and was additionally charged with burglary and criminal mischief for allegedly burglarizing the Town of LaGrange Church.

He is due to appear before both the Town of Washington Court and Town of Lagrange Court.
