A major drug bust in Port Jervis has netted police with close to 900 decks of heroin and could be the biggest drug bust in the city's history.

According to the Port Jervis Police Departments Facebook page, Darren Biccum,34 and Carolee Ruzanski, 27, were both arrested on Monday after city police and the Orange County Sheriff's Office conducted a no knock search warrant on their residence at Sutton Garden Apartments in Port Jervis.

Police had been conducting an undercover operation for the past six weeks and learned that the two suspects were selling large quantities of heroin to other dealers in the City of Port Jervis.

Police said that they were selling about 20 to 30 bricks of heroin per week.

Police seized the following, after searching the residence, 886 individual decks of heroin, powder cocaine, prescription pills and $1,486.00 in cash.

Both suspects were charged with felony third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and were arraigned in City Court and sent to the Orange County Jail on $50,000 bail pending further court appearances.
