It all began 150 years ago when a glass making company in Brooklyn traveled the New York Waterways on a canal barge to Corning, where they would be eventually be known as Corning Glass.

It seems fitting then, that they would celebrate their 150th anniversary by taking the same route with the Corning GlassBarge, which has a glass blowing studio aboard. While the journey throughout New York State will take 4 months, they will be making a few stops in the Hudson Valley, one of which is this weekend in Kingston at the Hudson River Maritime Museum.

They invite you to celebrate with them by coming to the barge and watching some amazing and magical displays of glass blowing. These demonstrations start at 11 and run every 45 minutes until the last one at  5. Here's a glimpse at what you can see this weekend in Kingston.

Admission is free, but seating is limited. Don't miss your chance to see this unique event this weekend in Kingston. Make your reservations here.
