Does your dog where shoes? Mine never has. I have tried but they are pulled off and chewed to bits instantly. With all the winter weather over the past few weeks I have seen lots of dogs in protective foot wear. Some purest say they don't need them, that the dog's paws are built to withstand the weather. I agree but I am also a fan of the pup shoe.

If you walk your dog in the winter they can pick up salt and other melting chemicals on the feet and then ingest it. This is not a good thing. Even if you wipe their feet off very often the chemicals can be left behind for the dogs to lick on their paws.

Another reason I am pro dog shoe is because lets face it we are going for the walk. The dog is excited because it means fun timed with their human but the reality is most dogs would play ball in the house before they actually choose walking on frozen concrete. So even though it is silly (proof of that in the video below) consider the fact that you don't want to go out without shoes on days like we have had this week so why would your dog.
