Since it's Thursday I figured bringing this back would go along with the Throw Back Thursday theme.

Growing up in Poughkeepsie, I was familiar with the notorious Kendall Francois case. Francois was a serial killer who targeted and killed eight women between 1996 and 1998. He also kept the bodies in his home. I remember focusing on that case in my high school forensics class during my senior year in 2007. When I went away to college during one of the first few weeks I mentioned to someone I was from Poughkeepsie and they asked "have you heard of the Poughkeepsie Tapes?"

The Poughkeepsie Tapes was an indie horror film released in 2007 that was apparently loosely based off of Kendall Francois. I watched the trailer and I remember thinking the only similarity was that it took place in Poughkeepsie. It also creeped me out, but my ideal scary movie is Hocus Pocus. I never found the full version of the movie or heard if it was actually released, but this is the trailer:

Does anyone have a clue what I'm talking about? Did you see "The Poughkeepsie Tapes" and if you did was it any good?
