Fall is in the air and everything is tasting like Pumpkin. Or a better way to phrase that is everything is tasting like pumpkin spice. Donut, Coffee, cookies, ice cream even adult beverages have all taken on this familiar fall flavor. Hopefully you won't get suck into too many things "pumpkin" flavored especially if they are made with too many artificial ingredients. My attempt to try "Pumpkin Pop Tarts" comes to mind. So much promise  and so much disappointment.

If you like things pumpkin flavored you don't have to resort to the store bought versions. It is easy to make your own Pumpkin Spice and add it to anything you desirer. Imagine pumpkin spiced mash potatoes or even pumpkin spice popcorn. All you need is five little ingredients and a sense of adventure in the kitchen.

Pumpkin Spice is nothing more than 4 or sometimes 5 fall tasting spices mix together. And remember mixing your pumpkin spice up from scratch means you can control the taste and create your own proprietary blend.  All you need to get started is a bowl, a spoon and this five spices. Cinnamon, Ginger, Nutmeg, Clove and if you wish some allspice. The recipe included below from AllRecipes online gives you a go place to start if you want to figure just how much of each spice to use.
