How did I miss this?

As most of you know, I'm a huge Kelly Clarkson fan girl. I wear that as a badge of honor, she's one of the best vocalists of our time. But this has nothing to do with discussing Ms. Clarkson's talent.

It has everything to do with a song called "Second Wind."

When Marren Morris' album "Hero" came out in June of 2016, I played it way too much. Obviously "My Church" and "80s Mercedes" were hits, but songs like "Rich" and "Once" caught me hook, line and sinker. Then there was "Second Wind." It was one of the first songs that I knew by heart after a few listens.

And now I know why.

Kelly Clarkson recorded "Second Wind," which was written by Maren and Shane McAnally, on her 7th album "Piece by Piece" that was released in March 2016.

I realized yesterday when I went back and played all my Kelly Clarkson albums since she has new music coming out on September 7.

My mind is blown. Both performances are top notch so I can't pick a favorite. Can you?

Here's Kellys' version:
