While we all know and love the traditional Halloween standards like ‘Monster Mash’ and ‘Thriller,  among others, County music has it’s share of spooky tunes too. If you’re throwing a Halloween bash this year, or just like a little mood music for trick or treating, here’s some suggestions for a spooky country playlist.

1. Alan Jackson “Midnight in Montgomery’ from 1991, he helped co-write it and it went to #3 on the Country Charts.

 

2. Charlie Daniels, ‘The Legend of the Wooley Swamp’ was release in 1980 and was written, composed, and recorded by Charlie Daniels. While it didn’t crack the Top 10 when it was released, it has become a favorite.

 

3. Shenadoah, ‘Ghost in This House’, released in 1990. It went to #5 on the Billboard Charts.

 

4. Sammy Kershaw, ‘Haunted Heart’, released in 1993 was the title track of his second album that was certified platinum and producing four singles.

 

5. The Band Perry, ‘Better Dig Two’, released in 2012 and debuted at #9 on Billboard.

 

6. Eric Church, ‘Creepin’, released in 2012 and co-written by Eric Church with Marv Green and was certified gold.
