A frontal boundary that started to move through the region Thursday night, will stall and that will lead to cooler but unsettled weather for Friday and the weekend.

This front will stall over the region Friday night over the Hudson Valley.  It will be cloudy and this increases the threat for showers to develop.  The boundary will slowly drift northward, but that means its also going to affect the weekend weather forecast.   It will be much cooler, Friday day time temps go to about 80, but over the weekend we’ll be in the low 70’s.

Here’s the latest forecast from the National Weather Service:

Friday:  Increasing clouds, with a high near 81.  A slight chance of showers during the day, with a greater chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.

Friday night:  Cloudy, low around 67.  A chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Saturday:  Cloudy, high near 72.  A chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Sunday:  Cloudy, high near 74.  A chance of showers and thunderstorms.
