The body found in the Hudson River this weekend has officially been identified as Vincent Viafore.

Viafore was presumed dead after his kayak overturned in April and his body went missing. Since then his his fiancee, Angelika Graswald, has been charged with his murder.

As we reported earlier, People Magazine cited an unnamed source who claimed clothes found on the body were similar to the ones Viafore was wearing the night his kayak overturned.

Authorities have been searching for the body for weeks and now say that they have found it. The Poughkeepsie Journal reports that police found the body on Saturday on the Orange County side of the Hudson River near route 218.

The body was given an autopsy at the Orange County morgue. Besides positively identifying the body as Viafore's, no further results of the autopsy have been released to the public.
