Comedy Legend Colin Quinn Set For Poughkeepsie Show

His television and movie career includes roles on Saturday Nightly Live, MTV's Remote Control and A Night at the Roxbury, Colin Quinn will take the stage in Poughkeepsie this March.

Laugh It Up Comedy Club located in the Vassar Room at Mahoney's Irish Pub and Steakhouse has been bringing in some great comedians. That run continues on March 24th with Quinn taking the stage for a 9 PM show.

He was born in Brooklyn and has been called the quintessential New York comedian. He was a bartender and says people kept telling him he should try comedy. It's led to much more than standup; movies, TV, several hilarious HBO specials and a few on Netflix. His time as Weekend Update host is fondly remembered by SNL fans far and wide.

He does have one regret though. From an interview with AV Club, he was offered the role as Scott Evil in the Austin Powers franchise but turned it down. A role that Seth Green filled admirably.
