Better to be safe than sorry is the saying and with the current events down in NYC, New Jersey and Minnesota we really need to take being prepared into consideration.

Tonight, The Dutchess County Department of Emergency Response will be holding a Citizens Preparedness training session. The session will be from 7:00pm unitl 9:00pm at Fishkill Town Hall (807 Rt 52). The program is designed to prepare community members for any type of disaster.  If you are to participate in the event, you'll learn: how to respond and recover quickly and accordingly to a disaster. Citizens Prepapredness Training is a free event and each family to attend will receive a free Response Starter Kit.

Doors opens at 6:30pm and the even is free to attend. The Citizens Preparedness Training session is being offered regionally through Dutchess County throughout 2016. The Dutchess County’s Medical Reserve Corps and the Dutchess County Animal Response Team will be on hand as well.
