Chef Dafna Mizrahi, who won an episode of "Chopped" on the Food Network back in 2015, will be hosting a cooking class for children with special needs. This cooking class is part of the ThinkDIFFERENTLY program introduced by Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro. ThinkDIFFERENTLY is an initiative that introduces a "welcoming and supportive environment for individuals of all abilities" according to their website.

The class is available for free to school aged children with special needs from 12pm until 2pm at Monte's Local Kitchen and Tap Room in Amenia. The class focuses on the importance of fresh ingredients and how to make a meal they will personally enjoy. While this is an amazing event, there is limited amount of space, there are 20 spots open for this event. If you're interested in signing your child up for this event, do it as soon as possible. Visit www.dutchessny.gov/cooking to sign up your child today.
