Checkout the Photo that Won the 2015 National Geographic Traveler Photo Contest

We all take pictures when we are out and about on vacations, at family gatherings and having fun with friends. Have you ever taken a photo you just know is a one of kind? If so you might consider next year submitting it to the National Geographic Traveler Photo Contest.

One of my favorite photo contests is the annual National Geographic Traveler Photo contest. For 27 years National Geographic has asked it's readers to submit pictures for the competition. Photo can be submitted by professionals as well as amateurs. The photos submitted are some of the most fantastic images you will ever see in print.

This year the group selecting the top photos had a big task laid out in front of them by photographers from all over the world using every type of camera including cellphones. As you can imagine it is not easy to select the best photo from the amazing stack they have to review, however after watching the story Chip Reid did this morning on CBS I think they definitely got it right. The picture that took the top spot is unbelievable.
