Celebrating Snowmen at Christy Cottage

I always thought it would be so cool to have a house with a fireplace because then I would have a mantle to decorate. When we bought our house, I got my fireplace and my mantle and the decorating hasn't stopped. Every month, I decorate our mantle either for the holiday, someone's birthday, a special anniversary, or any occasion that needs celebrating.

After all of the lights and sparkle of the holidays, January can seem kind of dark and depressing, at least to me, and that's why this is the month of the snowman mantle. They are cheery and fun and celebrate the nice side of snow. I have collected snowmen for many years now and it's fun to unpack them all and go down memory lane.

I thought I would share what my husband has to put up with, I mean what our home looks like in January and share some of my memories of good friends, family, and those we've lost. I hope you like it.
