According to Fox 5, the Congra Brand, who produces the cake mix Duncan Hines has announced that they are voluntarily recalling some cake mixes due to salmonella concerns.

The salmonella was discovered after a sample of Duncan Hines Classic White cake mix was tested and tested positive, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Conagra is issuing the recall with caution as they are working with health officials to determine whether it is linked to a salmonella outbreak that is being investigated by the Centers for Disease Control and the FDA.

The FDA has said that there has been five reported illnesses due to salmonella, and some of the people that were affected did eat the cake mix prior to becoming ill.

The cake mixes that are being recalled are Classic White, Classic Butter Golden, Signature Confetti and Classic Yellow.
