The Cadillac Three didn't know they were about to become an eight-piece supergroup prior to their set at the Taste of Country Music Festival. The power trio were in the middle of an ordinary interview when they were video-bombed.

Jaren Johnston and company talked about songs from their new Bury Me in My Boots album and what happens when they accidentally write a power ballad. Then they recalled an outrageous night with Chris Cagle, which led to their being asked if they'd ever considered becoming the Cadillac Four.

Suddenly they became the Cadillac Five, and finally, the Cadillac 8! Watch to see the insanity for yourself. Needless to say, the new group didn't last long, and when TC3 hit the stage it was just Johnston, Neil Mason and Kelby Ray. Perhaps it was best that way.

Bury Me in My Boots will drop August 5 and include "The South," "Graffiti," "Drunk Like You" and "Party Like You." It's their second full-length album, but they've also released two EPs since becoming the Cadillac Three. Previously they were part of a band called American Bang.

Day one of the 2016 Taste of Country Music Festival featured headliner Kid Rock, as well as Big & Rich, Jana Kramer and Annie Bosko. Kenny Chesney and Jake Owen will headline the remaining two days of the fourth-annual festival.
