It's still Ginger Time. Ginger is great in both food and drink. During the hot summer days ginger is a refreshing flavor that cuts through the heat. During the late days of summer when the humidity finally breaks ginger can be the spicy warmth you are looking for in food or drink. Ginger offers a lighter, crispier taste than some of the heavier cold weather spices.

Ginger also falls into the category of a "good for you" food. Widely used as a spice and for medicinal purposes ginger can fix what ails you. According to Healthline it can help you with everything from nausea to muscle pain to fighting infection.

My favorite ways to enjoy ginger are in a Moscow Mule, as a fresh ingredient in a Chicken Stir Fry and hot Ginger Tea pairs perfectly with Ginger Snap Cookies as an afternoon treat.
