Boy Dying From Cancer Needs Racing Stickers
Can you help make a wish come true for an 11 year old boy?
According to 12 News, 11 year old Caleb Hammond and his family had to make a decision that no family ever wants to make, stay in the hospital getting treatments that aren't working or stop the treatments and go home to live out what time he has left.
The Hammond family chose to go home to Oskaloosa, Iowa to allow Caleb to live out the rest of his life like a kid.
Caleb's Uncle, Chris Playle, told 12 News that, "They decided to call it quits and come home and be a kid and do the things he hasn’t been able to do the last year-and-a-half."
After making a hard decision, the family has now decided to try and make a wish come true for Caleb.
Caleb is a huge race car driving fan and along with his family they are asking people to send him racing stickers so they can be placed on his casket after he dies from cancer.
The response so far has been great but they could use even more stickers and here is where we can help.
If you or anyone you know here in the Hudson Valley would like to help out the Hammond Family you can mail stickers and cards to:
