A brand new airliner recently made one of it's very first flights across the Atlantic to Stewart Airport in Newburgh.

Boeing recently introduced the 737 MAX, the fourth generation of their 737 design. The plane has a newly redesigned engine and aerodynamic improvements. You'll be able to spot these planes by their unique split-tip wiglets on either side of the aircraft.

Norwegian Air was one of the very first airlines to receive a MAX 8. A flight from Edenburgh to Stewart was among the very first trips in the world for this new aircraft.

A pilot documented his arrival at Stewart in the MAX 8 and posted the video online with the following description:

I have been lucky enough to be one of the first pilots in the world to operate the Boeing 737 MAX 8 and even more lucky to be flying it across the Atlantic to the East Coast of the USA. Here is my arrival into Newburgh, New York, USA.

Hudson Valley residents traveling from Newburgh on Norwegian Airlines are among the very first passengers in the world to  board these new Boeing 737 MAX planes . Enjoy the ride!
