It's the time of year all hunters cant wait for and it all starts tomorrow (Sat 11/21).

According to the Department of Conservation, New York's regular firearms seasons for deer and bear hunters open at sunrise Saturday in New York's southern zone. Which includes most of our counties. (Ulster, Dutchess, Orange and Sullivan).

If you are one of the over 500,000 licensed hunters, be careful out in the woods and remember to always play it safe. Check your surroundings before firing your gun and always wear bright colors in the woods so that other hunters are able to see you. And lastly make sure you don't forget to wear your tag.

The regular firearms season on big game close at sunset on December 13th from Niagara and Erie counties to the southeastern region of the state.

Bow hunting and muzzleloader seasons will follow until December 22nd.
