Did you know that the National Park Service offer a lifetime senior pass and that this pass can get you in to more than 2,000 recreation spaces?

These passes, available for those 62 or older, will not only cover the entrance fee and provide free parking,  but will also provide discounts on additional recreation amenities within these spaces, plus travel companions get in free as well.

So, how much do think this pass would cost? If you think of all the places you and a friend could get in free, you could save a bundle. How does $10 sound? No kidding, it's just $10. Well, at least until this Monday, August 28.

The National Park's are about to raise the price of the lifetime senior pass to $80, which will be equal to the price of their land pass. What happens if you already have a lifetime senior pass? No worries, you're good to go, as these will remain valid.

Which means that if you'd rather pay $10 to have lifetime access to over 2,000 National Parks and lands instead of $80, get yours before Monday at any federal recreation site, three of which are right here in the Hudson Valley.
