Turns out, the Hudson Valley is home to the best college town food in the entire state.

I have fond memories of college, well the memories that I do have. Some of the memories, chowing down on food around town. If you ever visit SUNY Plattsburgh, you must get yourself a slice of cold cheese pizza! (Note: some adult beverages, prior to eating the warm pizza sprinkled with cold mozzarella, will likely enhance your enjoyment)

Tasting Table recently looked into the “50 Best College Town Foods in America.” The eating website picked one college town food per state.

After filling their stomachs, the website determined the best college town food in New York is found right here in the Hudson Valley.

Tasting Table named Main Street Bistro in New Paltz, near SUNY New Paltz the best college food in New York State.

“There's never not a line around the corner here,” Abby Reisner wrote in the reasoning for Main Street Bistro. “The atmosphere is always welcoming; there's rock music on full blast; and the food is excellent, comforting and inexpensive. None so much, though, as the $1.95 breakfast special, which gets you two eggs any style, home fries and whole-wheat toast.”

Now we know the Hudson Valley is home to many great colleges, and with that many amazing places to eat near the college. What’s your favorite?
