Beachin’ in ACK

As a lot of you know, some of my family calls Nantucket their home. It has been a wicked cold winter as they say in Massachusetts. Boston is ready to break an all time snow level record. The Cape has had homes encased in ice. But this tops all of that, Frozen Waves.

The photographer Jonathan Nimerfroh who took these pictures referred to them as Slush Waves. Can you imagine going to the beach and seeing a slushy wave roll in knowing it was nothing but frozen ice. This gives a whole new twist to "Beachin". Somebody call Jake Owen.

ACK is a cool place but this is way too cold. It maybe July before they thaw out. I am actually planning a trip to visit friends in March. I may think to re-schedule this trip for at least June. Of course if the harbor hasn't thawed I may have to reschedule for sure. Why didn't I plan a trip to Hawaii.
