Artists On The Street Returns Saturday August 13th

We have a lot of festivals and fun scheduled all summer long in the Hudson Valley. It sometimes seems impossible to get to all of the events. It is important to plan and schedule so you don't miss out on anything you might find interesting. That's why we are always searching the local web and news for things that you can enjoy.

One of my favorite events is for art lovers and it is coming up faster than you can imagine. It is the 4th annual Artists on the Street in New Paltz. This one day art event on Huguenot Street is a "plein air paint out" featuring more than 20 well known local artists. Mark You calendar for Saturday August 13th from 11a to 5pm. Local favorite and highly collected "Artist in Residence" at Huguenot Street Kevin Cook, helps organize and over see this special local artist event each year.

Come early to see the artists get started on their painting. Then spend the day walking through Huguenot Street and all it's historic beauty. At 4pm the artist wrap up and you can join them at a catered reception where the artists will display their work from the day and offer it for purchase.

This is a great way to watch the magic of a painting unfold and gives you an opportunity to speak with the artists about their work and what inspires them. No previous art knowledge is required. Just bring your love of art
